KEGPhoto, my company, is named for my sociable initials and the simple fact that I deal in photography.

Growing up with parents as photographers has its advantages and it was at an early age that I began “working” in the darkroom as an assistant, peering over the edge of the trays while the chemistry performed its magic.

In college, attempts at other, non-photographic fields all led back to a degree in Photojournalism, complete with its heady aura of truth-telling responsibility and promise of adventure.

Ultimately though, the creative license afforded in advertising photography held more appeal than photojournalism. After college, I continued working in commercial photography studios owned by some incredible innovators in the field - predominantly on automotive ad agency projects for Ford, GM, Chrysler, and several other manufacturers.

Between college semesters and during breaks from months-long automotive photo assignments I was fortunate enough to visit friends across the United States and Europe. Without knowing why at the time, I was instinctively drawn to the architecture of the places I was visiting. Only later, I realized that few objects are capable of revealing so much about a place, its people and its history – these structures communicate the truths of my destinations and I am grateful for the opportunity to capture these stories in an image.

Now that you know a bit about me, I'd love to hear about you and your next project! Thanks for visiting.
